Steven Eugene Eck, 61, died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. He was born November 16, 1956 in Enid, Oklahoma
Steven grew up in Enid where he attended school and graduated from high school. He moved to Garden City in 1987 and has lived in Garden City since. Steven worked as a heavy equipment operator for F&F Iron and Metal in Garden City. He enjoyed fishing.
On June 10, 1988, he married Judy A. Clark in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives. Other survivors include 3 children Keri Anne Clemer of Springfield, Illinois, Jeri Ann Bray of Norman, Oklahoma and Rusty Eck of Enid, Oklahoma; his mother Shirley Hays of Kremlin, Oklahoma; his father Eugene Eck of Enid, Oklahoma; 2 brothers Jack Eck of Kremlin, Oklahoma and John Clark of Hominy, Oklahoma; a sister Pam Arsenault of Enid, Oklahoma; a niece Sharon Pratt of Enid, Oklahoma; a cousin Ricky Hicks; 7 Grandchildren; and 1 Great Granddaughter. Steven is preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Clark and a sister Melanie Clark.
A private family interment will take place at a later date. Friends may call from Noon to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. The family suggests memorials given to the Heartland Cancer Center in care of the funeral home.
