Obituary for Tommy Dale Keaton

Tommy Dale Keaton, age 68, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and formerly of Ulysses, Kansas, died Sunday, October 22, 2017, in Bella Vista. He was born August 6, 1949, in Garden City, Kansas, the son of Marlin and Irene Keaton.

He was a retail manager for Weaver Popcorn. Tommy loved to fly and was an instrument rated pilot. He was a Paul Harris Fellow with the Rotary Club, past president of the Ulysses City Council, and church moderator in Ulysses. Tommy and his wife moved to Bella Vista from Ulysses. They are members of the Village Bible Church.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janice; son, Aaron Keaton and wife Amanda of Ulysses; daughters, Jenny Oliver and husband Greg of Lakin, and Miriam Keaton of Ulysses; brothers, Larry Keaton and wife Debbie of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Karl Keaton and wife Peggy of Mulberry, Arkansas; sisters, Jean Kliewer and husband David of Ulysses, and Sherrill Reed and husband Jim of Springdale, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kent Keaton.

Funeral service will be Thursday, October 26, 2017, at 2:00 PM at New Life Church in Ulysses with Ted Goertzen officiating. Interment will follow at Ulysses Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 1:00 PM until service time at New Life Church.
