Obituary for Karl L. Norton
Karl L. Norton, age 66, of Ulysses, Kansas died Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at his home in Ulysses, Kansas. He was born August 8, 1950, in Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of Richard Edward and Leah Christina (Spitze) Norton.
Karl grew up in Liberal, Kansas, and graduated from Liberal High School in 1968. He continued his education at Fort Hays State University where he played football. Karl has lived in Liberal, Lakin and currently in Ulysses. While living in Liberal, he owned Sundown Dragways. He was the owner of Ulysses All Pro Auto Parts. Karl had a love of muscle cars and corvettes.
He is survived by his sons, David L. Norton and wife Heather of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Daniel R. Norton of Ulysses, Kansas; daughter, Cassandra D. Norton of Moore, South Carolina; and three grandchildren, Abraham L. Norton, Leah H. Norton, and Kathryn R. Norton.
Karl is preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, February 19, 2017, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Ulysses All Pro Auto Parts in Ulysses. Arrangements are in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
